Has anyone ever taking thyroxine before for weight loss?
Did it work, how many and what dose did you take?
I suffered from post partum thyroiditis after I had my son and I was losing 4lbs a week until I lost about 3 stone then it cleared up, my thyroid is now in normal range. What do you think.
No time wasters please
This is a bad idea, euthyroid (normal) patients who take levothyroxine will suffer the side effects of hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid).
These include: a racing heart, irregular heart beats, palpitations, anginal pain, headache, restlessness, excitability, difficulty in sleeping, flushing, sweating, fever, shakiness of the arms and legs, heat intolerance. diarrhoea, being sick, muscle cramps, muscular weakness and osteoporosis. It can even precipitate a heart attack!

Don't mess with thyroid medication just to lose weight - it's too dangerous. There are easier and much safer ways. You don't know what damage you may do to yourself long term, it just isn't worth it.
